Power On During Market Shifts

Let me tell you a story.
I was pregnant with Maggie — after believing that we could no longer have children
We were moving. Not because we wanted to, but because we were losing everything... and I mean everything. My kids toys, beds, and personal belongings as we fled from eviction and our truck was getting repossessed as we were moving.
Just when you think, " Okay this is it. I can handle this." Life screams, "But wait there's more!" gleefully
Not because our business failed — but because someone we trusted took it all. Every dime. Every ounce of stability.
We were getting sued for that partner. We had people literally showing up trying to collect.
I stood there, in our broken down trailer, holding my belly, holding back tears — and I said to myself:
“This might be my current situation…but it is NOT my future.”
And I meant it.
I didn’t know how we’d make it. I didn’t have some 5-step plan. I just knew I wasn’t going to let that be the end of my story.
So why am I sharing this?
Because I know you’re probably feeling it right now too.
Maybe not to that extreme but the feeling of life screaming at you, "BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!" and it gets heavy.
The market is weird.
Rates are high.
Deals are harder.
People are nervous.
And everyone’s just trying to figure out what the heck to do next.
Whether you're a buyer, a seller, or an agent trying to hang on — I need you to hear this loud and clear:
You are not alone. You are not behind. And this is not where your story ends.
To the Buyers…
You don’t need perfect credit You don’t need a six-figure bank account. You need a plan, a mindset shift, and a guide.
You’re not just buying a house — you’re building a foundation.
When I bought my first home, I was broke. Scraping by. Not even sure how I was going to close it honestly. I had no savings and an upper 400 credit score. But I thought okay let's just see what we would have to do. It turned out if I could just sell 7 homes in the 6 months it took to build the home, we could make this happen.
AND that gave me something solid to build on. It changed the way I saw my future.
So yeah — rates are higher. But so is rent. And you don’t build wealth renting someone else’s dream.
To the Sellers…
Yes, you’ll have to work a little harder. But homes are still selling every day.
You just can’t wing it. Not in this market.
Staging.
Strategic pricing.
Marketing that actually connects with people.
That’s how you win right now.
I’ve helped people sell in the middle of divorce, grief, chaos — and every single time, we got through it. Because selling is emotional. It’s not just about profit.
It’s about peace of mind and what comes next.
To the Agents…
Let’s be real — this market has chewed people up.
You’re grinding.
Posting.
DMing.
Hosting open houses.
Still, some days it feels like it’s not enough.
I’ve been there.
I’ve questioned if I should keep going. I’ve been the one choosing which bill to pay. I’ve been the one crying in silence between showings.
But you know what?
That version of me — broke, pregnant, repo truck in the driveway — she built the version of me you see now.
The strong one. The resilient one. The one still standing.
You don't get that kind of power without going through the fire.
So if you're tired, but you're still showing up — YOU’RE DOING IT RIGHT.
Final Thought
Markets shift.
Prices change.
Circumstances hit hard.
But you? You’re still in the fight. Still dreaming. Still working. Still showing up.
That means something.
This might be a hard season, but it’s not the end.
It’s the part of your story where you get stronger.
So take a breath.
Wipe the tears.
Make the call.
Ask the question.
Write the offer.
Let the house go.
Say yes to the next chapter.
Power on.
Because no matter what’s happening around you…The power in you is still there.
And it’s just getting started.
